State Representative Angie Nixon Condemns President Donald Trump’s Use of Antisemitic Slur at Kansas Rally
TAMPA, FL – After President Trump used an antisemitic slur during a campaign rally in Kansas last night, U.S. Senate candidate State Rep. Angie Nixon released the following statement:
“It is completely unacceptable for the President of the United States – or anyone in public office – to throw around antisemitic slurs. When our so-called ‘leaders’ rely on bigoted tropes, it only creates more hate, puts our Jewish neighbors more at risk, and divides us all even more.
“Floridians are tired of politicians who use hatred and division to distract from the fact that they are failing everyday people. We deserve leaders who respect every community and focus on solving actual problems, not fueling bigotry.
“Unelected Ashley Moody is one of Trump’s biggest supporters. The voters deserve to know: will she finally show some courage and condemn this blatant antisemitism, or will do what she does best: stay silent, hide from answers, and dodge accountability?”
During a rally in Park City, KS, on Monday night, President Trump defended Republican Senator Roger Marshall’s medical billing practices and used a widely recognized antisemitic slur rooted in dangerous caricatures. This is not the first time Trump has used the term.
